A Blackburn businessman, Ayub Adam, has been sentenced after Trading Standards and police uncovered nearly 40,000 illegal vapes and thousands of counterfeit products worth £424,000 at his company, Adams Global Ltd. The investigation also found evidence of over £300,000 in illegal sales within four months.
At Preston Magistrates Court, Adam received a suspended nine-week custodial sentence, 200 hours of unpaid work, and was disqualified as a director for three years. His company was fined £10,000, with total penalties exceeding £30,000. All seized goods and over £15,000 in cash were also forfeited.
